Hacktoberfest is an annual month-long event held in the month of October organised by GitHub, DigitalOcean and Twilio Inc. to celebrate and encourage developers to get involved and contribute to open source projects. In this month’s MSCC meetup, we had a local .NET Conf event at Polytechnics Mauritius! Jochen Kirstätter spoke about state of .NET Core 2.1, roadmap to .NET Core 2.2 & 3, and we discussed about Blazor, a .NET web framework that runs directly in the browser. I explained Azure DevOps and gave a demo on getting an ASP.NET web app live on Azure using Git repositories on Azure Repos & CI/CD with Azure Pipelines.
